Statements & Policy

For a complete bio including my educational background and approach to massage therapy, simply give me a call or send me an email. I look forward to hearing from you.

Payment   Payment is due at time of service. I accept cash, local checks and all major credit cards. Payments can also be made at time of booking with major credit card for a 2.75% fee. I do not provide billing for insurance, but will gladly provide you with a receipt if you would like one.

Gift Certificates  Gift certificates are available for $75, the cost of a basic massage. The recipient may add services from the menu at their cost. Certificates expire 6 months from date of purchase. If the gift certificate expires before it is redeemed, the certificate can still be redeemed but for a cost to the client of $10 for each 15 days that the certificate has expired.

Cancelations and Late Arrivals   If you should need to cancel your appointment please do so with 4 hours notice, or you will be charged for your session. If you cancel with less than 4 hours notice, and I have not traveled and prepared for your session, you will not be charged.

In fairness to the next client, please arrive on time. Sessions begin and end at scheduled times.  Sessions begun late due to the client arriving late, end at the appointed time and are full price. If you are running just a few minutes late, we will continue with your appointment, but please understand that you will only receive massage for the time remaining in your appointment.

If you are over 20 minutes late for an appointment, your appointment will be canceled and you will be charged full price.

Each client will be allowed one no-show without being billed. After one no-show, the client will be billed, allowing for emergency exceptions such as medical emergencies, death in the family, or severe weather.

Confidentiality   Everything discussed during the session and upcoming ones will be kept confidential except when subpoenaed by a court of law. Client details would not be revealed, unless the client has given written permission to do so. I will not confirm nor disclose the fact that a specific person is my client, unless I have permission and the written consent of the client to do so.

Sexual Appropriateness Sexual behavior by the client toward the therapist or by the therapist toward the client is unethical, inappropriate and unacceptable.  Sexual harassment is not tolerated and the session is stopped immediately.

What to Expect  Please plan on arriving early for us to address your goals for our session. If this is your first massage with me (or ever) please arrive about 10 minutes early so we can discuss your health, your goals and I can show you what we will be doing for our session. My number one concern is for your safety and to make you feel safe and comfortable during our session so it is extremely important that I have thorough knowledge of your health history because some conditions are contraindications for massage.

You may dress however you wish, but if you would like to receive a massage following a workout, please shower before your massage. You should feel free to remove as much or as little of your clothing as you wish. I will be more effective if you are fully undressed, but your comfort level is most important. I work with my clients fully draped; meaning that only the part of your body where I am working at that particular moment will be exposed.

I do my best work when I am quiet and focused, so you can expect me to remain fairly silent during sessions except to check in with you. When your session is over, I will again leave the room to allow you to get dressed.
